We had a fun weekend with Mckinley turning 6...she had a great party and was so excited with all of her presents. I think this is really the first year she really stopped and enjoyed the presents instead of the frenzy of just opening stuff!

Can't believe how big she is getting!

seriously, I blinked and five days have passed....how does this happen and where does  the time go?

Ok...so back to business. Have you been following along with us?

We have been having a great time with this project and giving how-to's, technique and inspiration each day over at the HOF3 inspiration house blog. I loved the one that Rhonna put up today about the magnets, it was one of my favorite parts of the board. (It's the little things that make me happy! :)

Here are a few that I created for my board:

We have super fun festivities going on today since it is Mckinley's birthday today. She is 6 and can not be more excited! Will post photos from the party and her birthday photo shoot on Monday! I think this will be perfect material to put on my magnet board! ;)

So much to share....

and so little quiet time to type it in, lol! It is definitely summer here at our house, the noise level is deafening and I may lose control at any second but it is what it is and I am trying to get a routine down....I have not really been successful yet...but hey, I am trying! ;)

And since I have neglected to post I have several things to share with you so I will give you the highlights!

• Have you seen Heidi's guest spot on the Ali Edward's blog? Loved the inspiration this morning as I was looking over her video and project....glimmer mist, mega masks and invisibles chipboard?? So fun, so if you haven't checked it go now....right after you finish reading this. :)  

 

• Rhonna has put up a fab tutorial on the HOF3 blog so check that out. We have had so many questions so we are going to try to start doing these as often as we can.  

 

• I always love it when my students email me after a class letting me know how much they enjoyed it and that they have completed their projects. My super sweet friend Cindy emailed me after the local class last weekend and shared her finished art with me, didn't it turn out awesome! 

  

• New product at HOF3 that went up last night...four things I am super excited about. First is our Summer creative project that we are hoping everyone will play along with starting June 15th....here are a few more details and a link to the kit where you can pre purchase it now.

 

This shows everything included in the kit which are two sets of wall art (frames and chandeliers) a digital and printable hybrid kit with the elements for you to create your own "summer" masterpiece. How can I not end with these cuties, we are so proud of how much she has learned this year. And just for equal time....we are so proud of her brother as well, he graduated from the 5th grade and will be moving on to middle school...YIKES! 

And in all fairness...he may not be old enough to be in school but his pirate face is pretty darn cute. That is his latest thing in photos, to say "ARGGHHHH, I'm a pirate!" Cute but not so great for family photos! lol

School crazy and kits....

The kids have had a different activity everyday this week, they are really packing in as much as they can before the get out for the year tomorrow. The kids have enjoyed it but it just makes me tired, lol!

Taylor has his awards ceremony tomorrow and the flag pole ceremony for all of the 5th graders that are moving on to middle school. Can't believe I will have a child in middle school....oh yea and a newborn at the exact same time...yikes!

I have a few odds and ends in the works that I am really excited about. I am hoping to nail down a blog schedule for the summer and maybe pick a day to feature one of them every week. I will keep you posted....fun stuff ahead.

Busy Last Week of School!

It is finally here, the last week of school and it is going to be a busy one. Awards ceremonies, 5th grade end of year celebration, Send off Flag Ceremony....it goes on and on. We have something everyday, lets just hope we all survive!

Mckinley starts the week off today with her awards ceremony at 1:45...what are the chances she will look this cute by the time I get there today? Pretty slim to none if you know anything about my girl! Oh well...at least I have these cute shots.

Lots going on today so I will make this quick. This boy graduates tonight and I am so proud of him, can't wait to see him walk across the stage...way to go Anthony!

I also wanted to share a project that someone ran across and emailed me so that I could see and I love it! Dedra Long made this book using the Memory Binder.....isn't it cool? Love the rubons and embellishments she used. I have always covered mine with paper but I love that she left it raw and then embellished. Thanks for letting me share it Dedra!

Creative Gift Giving with the Class of 2009 in mind...

well once again Rhonna has outdone herself (I say that every time though don't I?) but I really enjoyed playing with the boy version of the Class of 2009 set. Don't worry....there is a girl set too! Here is a preview of what I did.....to see  all the projects you can hop over to here.
